We rarely receive some devices that deliver little bit different design and Asus Taichi is one of those. This device looks like a regular laptop and not similar to other tablet devices with detachable keyboard.

Biggest difference is that we are getting lid with screens on both size and when you close it becomes the tablet device. First that we were able to hear was that we will be getting both screens with touchscreen support but only the outside unit comes with touchscreen technology. This is little bit disappointment but than again we are getting laptop.

When we are talking about screens we have 11.6 inch diagonal units here with full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels and at this size this means about 190 ppi of pixel density that promises high level of sharpness, visual clarity and great looking colors.

Since we are getting device with a Windows 8 OS it is a Intel based unit and it comes with a Corei5 (i5-3317U) dual core processor that works on 1.7 GHz and is paired with Intel HD 4000 GPU that works on 350 兆赫. For the best performances there is a 4 GB of dual channel RAM that will certainly allow the usage of large number of apps. Internal memory is of 128 GB and you will be getting 2 USB ports, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

One of the things that unpleasantly surprised us is that even it brings quite powerful hardware it still delivered noticeable lag. This device has more power than many other from this company but still it lags, there is a high possibility that this happens because of the integration of two screens and we certainly do hope that it will be repaired and that everything will be ok by the time it hits the stores.

Another amazing thing is that we are getting tablet with only 1.1 Kg weight, especially it brings two displays. One of the problems this device might have is the battery related. We are getting powerful hardware and two screens that can be set to work together so it will be interesting to see the level of battery consumption.

整體, Asus Taichi is a great looking device that comes with some really nice features and will certainly be a great addition to the gadget lineup of many users. Also we need to admit that because this is pretty much different device from what we are used to see it might require some time to adjust.
